Boubacar Sanogo moves to Saint-Étienne

St Etienne have completed the signing of Boubacar Sanogo from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee.
The Ivory Coast striker penned a three-year deal with Les Verts after passing his medical, the club confirmed in a statement released on their official website.
The statement read: "The Stephanois board have landed a major blow - they have signed for three seasons the Ivorian international striker from Werder Bremen Boubacar Sanogo, who has made a reputation for himself in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League.
"Aged 26, Sanogo has all the qualities of the modern striker, quick and powerful."
Sanogo played under current St Etienne coach Alain Perrin in 2004 when both were at United Arab Emirates side Al Ain.
He has been signed as a replacement for Bafetimbi Gomis, who left Les Verts last month to sign for Rhone-Alps rivals Lyon.
St Etienne have lost both of their opening matches of the new Ligue 1 campaign, against Nice then Toulouse.
Sanogo could make his debut for the club on Saturday in their home match against Boulogne-sur-Mer.
