Parma shocked with 2-1 home defeat
Parma suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat to third division Novara in the third round of the Coppa Italia on Friday evening.
Parma, who won promotion back to Serie A last season, went behind on the stroke of half-time to a Christian Bertani goal.
Alessandro Lucarelli levelled in the 56th minute only for Juliano Vicentini to score a 63rd-minute winner.
Livorno beat Torino 2-0 at home thanks to second-half goals from Cristian Raimondi and Fedrico Dionisi, while Sassuolo were also 2-0 winners over Verona.
Emiliano Salvetti put Sassuolo ahead after just two minutes and Luigi Riccio added a second before half-time.
