Roy Makaay can leave Feyenoord

Feyenoord coach Mario Been has revealed he will not stand in the way of striker Roy Makaay if he wants to leave the Rotterdam club.
The 34-year-old has fallen out of favour at De Kuip since Been took the reins in the summer.
And although the coach insists Makaay still has a role to play, he is prepared to accept a transfer request from the player.
"I will not oppose a move but only if Roy Makaay himself says he wants to try his luck elsewhere, and a great opportunity presents itself," Been told feyenoord.nl.
"But I hope very much that hasn't been the case so far."
Club director Eric Gudde is aware it must be frustrating for Makaay to find himself on the bench, as was the case against Heracles Almelo last weekend.
"Given his reputation and impressive honours, we can well imagine Roy does not want to end his career with a team where he is not guaranteed a starting place," said Gudde.
Makaay joined Feyenoord in 2007, and has scored 29 Eredivisie goals for the club.
