Duo Debut for Monaco

Monaco could give debuts to Eidur Gudjohnsen and Mathieu Coutadeur in Sunday's Ligue 1 match against Paris St Germain.

Iceland striker Gudjohnsen joined from Barcelona at the end of last month, while manager Guy Lacombe has also swooped to land highly-rated 23-year-old midfielder Coutadeur from Le Mans on a four-year contract.

The arrival of 30-year-old former Chelsea favourite Gudjohnsen is a boost for Monaco, who have been left short of options in attack following Steve Savidan's retirement because of a heart condition.

They go into the clash of the top flight's two longest-serving teams on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Sochaux - but with a 100% home record after beating Toulouse and Lorient.

Meanwhile, high-flying PSG will be without Mevlut Erding for the match at Stade Louis II.

Erding has made a significant impact since his summer move from Sochaux, scoring twice in the first four games to help Antoine Kombouar's men claim a share of the lead with Bordeaux and Lyon.

However, the Turkey striker will miss out on the trip to the principality because of shoulder surgery.

Central defender Zoumana Camara will also be unavailable for the capital side because of a long-term calf injury.

The visitors have historically struggled to pick up points at Monaco.

In 34 Ligue 1 games stretching back to the mid-1970s, the capital side have emerged victorious on just three occasions.
