A.Emana frustrated by lack of action

Achille Emana has revealed his frustration at finding himself on the fringes of the Real Betis first team.

The Cameroon international was the subject of much transfer talk over the summer following Betis' relegation into the Spanish second division.

However, despite much reported interest, the 27-year-old midfielder saw the speculation mount to nothing.

Emana initially expressed his willingness to remain at Betis and help the club secure promotion back into the Primera Liga at the first time of asking.

A lack of opportunities has dampened his enthusiasm, though, with too much time spent watching on from the bench.

"I am here at Betis but I am not playing as much as I can or want," Emana told skysports.com.

"I stayed here because I wanted to help the club back into the top division, but to be honest I am not liking it much at the moment.

"I am a professional and I respect the manager's decision, but this is not good.

"The club did not let me go because they priced me out of the market, they asked for a big fee, so it is strange that I am not playing."
