We lost many fans - Adriano Galliani

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani intends to attract disgruntled fans back to the San Siro by offering reduced ticket prices.

Attendances for the Rossoneri's home matches have been in decline this year, with Serie A matches regularly down on recent seasons.

More than 75,000 fans took their place for the glamour Champions League tie against Real Madrid at the start of the month, but only days earlier Milan attracted a crowd of just 33,000 for their league meeting with Parma.

Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm very sorry to have lost around 16,000 regular fans in the last year.

"I want to write to them, those who are disappointed, and we will announce a special rate for their first game back.

"I want to write not just (to earn) a few million dollars more, but because we had only 40,000 spectators at the San Siro for Milan versus Roma."
