Ferrara under deep pressure

Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara will be going into Wednesday's Coppa Italia clash against Napoli looking over his shoulder with Russia coach Guus Hiddink being linked with the Bianconeri hot seat.

The Turin giants have lost three of their last four games in Serie A and were also knocked out of the Champions League short of the last 16 to leave Ferrara on shaky ground.

According to the Russian media, Hiddink has been told by the Russian Federation he is free to guide a club and the Dutchman has reportedly been spotted in Turin.

"I don't feel as though my job is at risk," said Ferrara after Sunday's 3-0 defeat to AC Milan.

"Of course, I am very disappointed just as everyone else is.

"But as I have said before and I reiterate, I will not leave this ship.

"I am instead very focused on what we must do in order to change this negative trend.

"On Wednesday we face Napoli in the Coppa Italia and we have to get back to work and look ahead."

Napoli's new signing from Liverpool, Andrea Dossena, could make his debut in that game.

The winner of the clash in Turin will face Inter Milan in the quarter-finals.

Nine-time Coppa Italia winners Roma go into Tuesday's clash against Serie B side Triestina at the Stadio Olimpico still without injured captain Francesco Totti.

Totti has been sidelined with a knee injury since December while Roma coach Claudio Ranieri will rest new signing Luca Toni in view of Sunday's match against Genoa.

AC Milan entertain Lega Pro Prima Division A outfit Novara on Wednesday in buoyant mood following their 3-0 triumph at Juventus at the weekend.

Genoa will be hoping to make it two wins in a row against Catania on Wednesday having beaten the Sicilian minnows 2-0 in the league on Sunday.

On Thursday, Udinese take on Lega Pro Prima Division A side Lumezzane desperate to return to winning ways.

The Friuli outfit have lost five of their last seven matches in Serie A and look for their first win since Giovanni De Biasi replaced Pasquale Marino at the helm last month.

Later that day, Fiorentina take on Chievo while defending champions Lazio host Palermo.
