Ajax ease over ten man RKC Waalwijk with 4-1

Luis Suarez nabbed a hat-trick inside 20 minutes as Ajax thrashed 10-man RKC Waalwijk 4-1 on Saturday.

Gregory Van Der Wiel opened the scoring in the 10th minute but the newly-promoted side levelled matters on the half-hour mark.

The floodgates opened when Wooter Gudde was dismissed in the 70th minute and Suarez scored from the resulting penalty.

The Uruguay striker bagged his second eight minutes from time and completed his hat-trick in stoppage time.

It makes it two wins out of two for coach Martin Jol while RKC are finding out just how tough it is in the top flight after losing both their opening games.

Suarez almost got on the scoresheet in the first minute but his effort crashed off the post.

Ajax did not have to wait long for their first goal as a quick one-two between Van Der Wiel and Dario Cvitanich was finished off by a powerful strike by the Holland youngster.

RKC got their first goal in the Eredivisie when Benjamin De Ceulaer raced down the pitch before firing home from just inside the area. Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg got a hand to it but was powerless to prevent it hitting the back of the net.

The match turned in the 70th minute when Gudde pulled down Suarez in the area, picking up his second yellow card.

Suarez coolly despatched the resulting penalty and doubled his tally soon after with a stunning 30-yard strike into the top right corner.

The 22-year-old sealed a fantastic day in stoppage time when he beat RKC goalkeeper Jurgen Wevers to the ball and slotted it home.
