Naldo extends Bremen contract

Werder Bremen have extended the contract of their Brazilian defender Naldo on his 27th birthday.
He has been rewarded with improved terms and an extra year with the Bundesliga club on a deal which will now expire in 2013.
"We are delighted to have been able to secure Naldo's services for another year," said Bremen's general manager Klaus Allofs.
"He is an important component of our game and has become one of the best defenders in the league."
Naldo said that his decision to commit himself to the northern club for another year had been an easy one to make.
"Everything is going well for me with Werder," he said.
"Furthermore, my family and I are very settled in Bremen."
The Brazilian has had his appearances restricted this season due to injury, but he is now 100% fit and ready to help the team in Sunday's clash with Hannover.
Coach Thomas Schaaf admitted he is looking forward to a longer relationship with one of his most important players.
"It is great that Naldo has taken this decision," he said in a club press release.
"He has developed incredibly well over recent years and it is enjoyable working with him. We are looking forward to continuing our work together."
