Twente and PSV share spoils
PSV Eindhoven are still waiting for their first Eredivisie win of the season after drawing 1-1 with FC Twente on Sunday afternoon.Balazs Dzsudzsak equalised after Douglas had given Twente the lead, but neither side could add to their tally in an entertaining clash.
Twente had the first chance of the match after 16 minutes with Theo Janssen firing wide from distance, but the home side had better luck three minutes later.
Janssen swung in a corner which was punched away by PSV goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson
into the path of Douglas, who nodded the ball into the top left corner of the net.
Their lead lasted just six minutes though, with Dzsudzsak finding some space before blasting home from 16 yards beyond the reach of Sander Boschker.
Twente's response was a header at the other end from Janssen which narrowly cleared the crossbar.
Steve McClaren's men continued to have the better chances and Isaksson was called upon to turn away a testing free-kick from Janssen at the start of the second half.
Isaksson again got the better of Janssen after 60 minutes, punching his 20-yard drive out for a corner.
Boschker was not standing idle at the other end though, and Dzsudzsak was denied the chance to double his tally when his 18-yard strike was tipped over the bar.
It was PSV's turn to take control of proceedings as the clock ran down, but Boschker could not be beaten with both substitute Danny Koevermans and Danko Lazovic seeing shots palmed away by the Twente goalkeeper.
